Knowledge acquisition has been a leading force in my life, inside and outside the academic world. My time thus far as an artist has been spent learning new skill, investigating materials, and experimenting with techniques. I plan to keep this focus for the foreseeable future.
I strive to bring art into carpentry, and bring out the natural beauty of house, architecture, and landscaping. I believe art does not have to solely be for aesthetics, and can be functional. My life’s work will not end up in gallery or on pedestals. I strive to create houses that are living sculptures. House restoration is art, in that you strip away all the layers and bring things back to a renewed state. Through restoration, one can revitalize dying structures and give them a new life. Houses can be more than just places to live, they can be sculptures themselves.
